Another Good Reason To Authenticate Your Domain
By Amran 11 November 2009 under Email Marketing News, Tips & Best PracticesThis is kind of old news but always a good reminder why you should start authenticating your domain name.
Since July 09 Gmail has been enabling images for their users if they have replied back to your email at least two times but only if you are authenticating your email with SPF or DKIM. This is more like a ‘contact reputation’ where if you do reply to the person email, you most probably know them or accept what they are sending you. Sound logical!
So it might be a good idea for you to start authenticating your domain and consider getting your Gmail subscribers to reply to your email through survey or to request for more information about your products or services.
You may also consider creating a smart list for all your Gmail account subscribers and consider giving them discount coupons or something that might attract them to click on their reply button.
This way, you can get your beautifully designed email campaign showing up with images as you intended.
